De Baak’s learning philosophy is that human beings want and need to keep learning throughout their lives. In today’s constantly changing society, with its constantly changing technology, in a global marketplace, this view is more true than ever. At De Baak, our core approach is ‘learning to learn’. Individuals are responsible for their own learning process.
De Baak builds on known facts, formulas and techniques, encouraging individuals to use their own initiative, free thought association, and their ability to challenge familiar and accepted viewpoints, helping them develop their creative intelligence. New perspectives open up and opportunities arise for the creation of new connections: uniting knowledge with insight, individuals with other individuals, current with new worldviews, and science and scholarship with natural leadership and intuition.
Learning to Lead in Business and Society
Who leads in society? Experts in tune with their (international) network, high-growth markets, emerging opportunities and society’s needs. De Baak provides an environment for exploring all of these while keeping in mind a responsible balance between business and social stewardship.
Who leads in business? Those with knowledge of themselves, others, the business and the organization. At De Baak, we provide you with that knowledge. You become sensitized to questions such as How can I help other people flourish? How can I be a catalyst in developing their talents, for an optimum contribution to our organization’s ambitions? You will find answers that will help you realize added value and tangible results.
In our programs, we work with situations that come straight from participants’ working environments – from the boardroom to the factory floor, from local departments to internationally diverse project teams. Programs have the most impact when tied in closely to the organizations they are provided for. Embedded instruction can take the form of action-learning projects, mentorship-on-the-job and coaching programs.
Incorporating digital technologies allows us to facilitate learning at unusual times and distant locations, to make learning more effective and increase output and impact. We design our blended learning programs by creating a mix of online and offline tools and methodologies, enabling optimal learning in diverse (international) settings. Options vary from social learning networks and online coaching to serious gaming and simulations.
Learning at De Baak means shifting personal boundaries, testing existing views, standing still to be able to move on and un-learning reflexes which are unproductive. Art, improvisation and mindfulness techniques are crucial components of our learning philosophy.
