Influence!

Communication skills for experienced managers
You've been a manager for ten years. You're good at your job and you know how to get a department up and running and make it successful. But when you talk to staff or other managers, you notice that you're not always in control. Or you notice that things aren't being done the way you think they should be done.
How do you exert influence and how are you influenced? This is your chance to work with a small group of experienced managers and two trainers to find out how you can improve your interaction skills. So that you have more influence on the way you interact with others and on your environment.

Goal
Insight into influence strategies.
Exert influence better by communicating more effectively.
More effective interaction in communication processes.
Improved reflection on your own communication skills, whereby participants can choose between different influence styles.
Program structure
This program consists of five parts spread over two days. During the first part, interactive exercises with an actor are used to discuss influence models and get you focused on the issues you think are important. In the second part, push and pull influence styles are discussed. Are you a "me," "it," "you," or "we" type? Which style do you already master and which can you further develop? Your personal situation ethics are also discussed. In part three, your goals are discussed and you learn how to apply them using a personal case. For example, you can practice the influence style you think is the most difficult. Time is also spent on non-verbal behavior and the communication levels used in role plays. After that, we analyze the environment: from plan to approach. After all, you don't work in a vacuum. At work, you have to deal with all kinds of people (actors) who influence you in a specific way. How can you influence them so that you can achieve your goals? During this part of the training, you will analyze your environment and describe/state the different actors' interests and motivation. Based on the goal you want to achieve, you will develop an action plan for the further communicative interaction with these people and you will practice it. This program is concluded with a wrap-up: Reflection and room for questions that are still open. How will you apply this?
