People Management

Let yourself and your employees show up well
You are fully in control and you know your targets. Still, you notice you are sometimes confronted with yourself. You realize you can’t do it alone. Managing people is not just any other job and it takes more time, energy and effort than you expected. On the edge of conducting and motivating, many more things can be learned.
‘People Management’ (PM) is a practical training course aimed at expanding your skills repertory for effective leadership. Because people management is mainly about the interaction between you and your employees, feedback on your own behavior is an essential part of the course. Specialist trainers follow a carefully chosen approach. The training is especially suitable for professionals who have just started as a manager or who have been managing for some time and need more ‘tools’ and skills in their daily work.
Content
Most managers have been appointed because of their expertise or result-orientedness. Managing people comes with the job, however, this often turns out to be the most challenging task of the job. Sounds familiar? This training course shows you the backgrounds of leadership, influence and motivation. By means of practical exercises, you learn how to match your own behavior to that of others. The exchange of experiences that follows from this offers nvaluable feedback on your own thought and response patterns.
During the training course, you will find answers to questions like:
- what effect does my behavior have on other people?
- how can I improve my own capacities?
- how can I (again) motivate and inspire my people?
Program structure
The program consists of two modules of three days each and a follow-up module of one day. There is ample opportunity to introduce your own cases and experiences. In individual and group exercises, various themes will be discussed. Before the course, we ask you to hand out a questionnaire to your colleagues in order to get a picture of other people’s opinion of you.
