The economy is crying out for innovation, creativity and imagination, and art is an ideal source for these ingredients. We invite you to attend the Special Event Art & Leadership to find out what art can mean for you and the issues you encounter relating to entrepreneurship and leadership. Instead of merely admiring art and artists from afar, we are offering you a unique opportunity to experience and explore art and artists intensively and up close.

- 12:30 uur: Reception with lunch at De Horst Estate

As a participant in the Special Event 2008, you will receive the book Art & Leadership to conclude the day.
The Speakers:
- Michael Jones: consultant and leadership trainer, pianist and storyteller. In order to illuminate your experience, Michael will tell you all about his ideas on the difference between candlelight and flashlight questions.
- Rudi Fuchs: art historian, professor and former director of the Stedelijk Museum, will examine art without judgment, without fear. What do you see then?
- Jeroen Busscher: independent consultant, publicist and member of the knowledge network of the Utrecht School of the Arts, questions the added value of art for organizations and leaders.
- Mathieu Weggeman: Professor of Organization Science at Eindhoven University of Technology, Innovation Manager at De Baak and management consultant in his own consultancy practice will present the workshop 'Waar swingt het nog?' ['Where’s the groove?'], which is all about the manipulability of a collective flow. When and how will your band get into the groove?
The Studio Route:
Artists representing various disciplines will allow you to experience both the process and the result of their work.
Look, listen and feel with: poet Ingmar Heytze, singer Ellen Honert, the Yellow Fellow Foundation, photographer Sanneke Fisser and G&N fashion.
Common Ground:
You will work with artists, speakers, participants and works of art to explore how art can contribute to your leadership, to yourself or to others, and to your organization. You will meet representatives of a number of organizations, including: Kunstenaars in de Samenleving [Artists in Society], the Kunst en Zaken [Art and Business] Foundation, Arteconomy (Belgium) and Tanja Mlaker (The Netherlands Opera).
