Managing People

Most executives ascribe being appointed to a managerial position to their expertise or their result-oriented style. Managing people often comes as an incidental part of the job, whereas in fact it really is what it's all about. If this sounds familiar then the 'Managing People' course will give you the practical tools to become a more successful and effective leader.

Managing People will teach you to lead, inspire and motivate. Many international models (Situational Leadership, Belbin, Roos van Leary) help you understand what’s going on, but what is really important is to know how to apply and to put what you have learned into practice. Since effective leadership is all about how you interact with your team, feedback on your actions is an integral part of the course. Managing People helps you understand yourself, shows you how to go about managing people, and ensures that by applying what you have learnt you will become a much more successful manager.

The course answers questions, such as:

  • What effect does my behavior have on others?
  • What behavior is most effective in which situation?
  • How can I improve my skills?
  • How can I continue to inspire and motivate my team?

This course is given in Dutch but can also be given as a tailormade course in English on request. Please feel free to call +31343556369.

The program comprises two three-day modules and a final two-day module. There is ample opportunity to present your own cases and discuss your experiences. A wide range of themes is covered during individual and group training sessions. Your colleagues will be asked to fill in a questionnaire in advance so we know how others see you.
